Meerut Shocker Woman Drugged and Murdered Husband Before Dismembering His Body, Investigation Reveals

In a chilling case from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Muskaan Rastogi allegedly drugged and murdered her husband, Saurabh Rajput, before dismembering his body with her lover’s assistance. The case, which has sent shockwaves across the nation, continues to reveal disturbing details as the police investigate the crime further.

Prescription Tampering and the Role of Medical Store

Officials revealed that Muskaan had tampered with her husband’s prescription to procure sleeping pills, which she allegedly used to drug him before the murder. The medicine was purchased from Usha Medical Store, which was subsequently raided by authorities.

Meerut drug inspector Piyush Sharma confirmed the discovery, stating, “We found that the medicines were obtained from this store. We are examining all sale records to verify whether the prescribed drugs required authorization or if they were sold over the counter.” The records of all sales in the past two years are under scrutiny, and any violations could result in a legal case or license cancellation for the store.

Usha Medical Store owner Amit Joshi clarified, “The woman showed a prescription on her mobile phone, and we handed over the pills based on that. We do not sell such medicines without a prescription.”

The Gruesome Murder and Cover-Up

On March 4, Muskaan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, allegedly stabbed Saurabh Rajput to death. Saurabh, a former Merchant Navy officer, was reportedly drugged before being attacked. According to the post-mortem report, he was stabbed three times in the heart with extreme force, leading to excessive bleeding and shock.

The couple then dismembered the body, severing the head, cutting off both hands at the wrist, and bending the legs backward to fit the remains inside a drum. They sealed the drum with cement and left for a vacation in Himachal Pradesh, misleading Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone.

Confession and Arrest

The crime came to light on March 18 when Muskaan confessed to her mother, who immediately informed the police. Both Muskaan and Sahil were arrested soon after.

A heartbreaking revelation emerged from Saurabh’s six-year-old daughter, who allegedly told neighbors, “Papa is in the drum.” This statement has led investigators to believe that the child may have witnessed part of the crime.

Muskaan’s family has refused to support her legal battle. Senior Jail Superintendent Viresh Raj Sharma confirmed that she has requested a government lawyer, stating, “Since the incident, my parents are angry with me. No one will fight for me.”

While Muskaan has applied for legal aid, Sahil has not yet requested a government-appointed attorney. Both accused requested to be housed together in jail but were denied.

The Meerut murder case has shocked the nation with its brutality and disturbing details. Investigations continue, with authorities ensuring all involved in the crime—including potential medical store violations—are held accountable. The tragic tale of betrayal, crime, and gruesome murder leaves an unsettling reminder of how dangerous unchecked emotions can become.
