Suzuki Jimny 6X6 Custom Build Transforms Compact Off-Roader into a Beast
Suzuki Jimny 6X6 A Bold Transformation
Table of Contents
The Suzuki Jimny, known for its compact off-roading prowess, has undergone numerous customizations since its launch. However, a recent modification by Mocho Fabrication in the Cotswolds has taken customization to the next level—converting the Jimny into a 6X6 off-road beast.
This heavily modified version resembles the legendary Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6, featuring an extended chassis, an additional rear axle, and aggressive styling. While Suzuki has no official plans to launch a 6X6 Jimny, this custom build showcases the potential of the iconic off-roader.
Major Modifications in the Jimny 6X6
1. Stretched Chassis & Extra Axle
- The chassis was extended to accommodate the third axle, which was sourced from another donor Jimny.
- Although the extra axle is non-functional, it adds to the rugged and imposing appearance.
2. Body Enhancements
- The rear fenders were extended, maintaining the seamless body line using original Jimny parts.
- A custom rear deck was fabricated, requiring expert metalwork to integrate smoothly with the existing body.
3. Aggressive Off-Road Styling
- The Jimny 6X6 features chunky all-terrain tires and black alloy wheels, enhancing its off-road capabilities.
- The interior has been upgraded with black and grey quilted leather seats, adding a touch of luxury.

Performance: Can the Jimny 6X6 Deliver?
Unlike the Mercedes G63 6X6, which boasts a powerful V8 engine, the Suzuki Jimny comes with a relatively smaller 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing:
- 102 BHP
- 130 Nm of torque
This custom Jimny is based on the automatic transmission variant, but no engine upgrades have been reported. The added weight from the stretched chassis and third axle could impact performance, but the Jimny’s reputation for nimble off-roading remains intact.
Is Suzuki Planning a 6X6 Jimny?
Despite this impressive build, Suzuki has no official plans to introduce a factory-made 6X6 version of the Jimny. This modification remains a one-off custom job, making it a collector’s item for extreme off-roading enthusiasts.
The custom-built Jimny 6X6 is currently listed for sale on eBay at ₹50 lakh, a hefty price tag for a Jimny, but a unique offering for collectors.
Final Thoughts: The Jimny 6X6 – A Head-Turner or Just a Showpiece?
While this 6X6 Jimny is an exciting and bold modification, its non-functional third axle and unchanged engine mean it’s more of a visual spectacle than a high-performance machine. Nonetheless, it showcases the creativity and engineering skills of aftermarket customizers.
