Terrifying Video Captures Crash
A viral video circulating on social media shows the CRJ-900 aircraft skidding upon landing before flipping upside down. Within moments, thick black smoke billowed from the fuselage as passengers scrambled to escape in the freezing temperatures. Shocking images depicted travelers shielding their faces from powerful winds and blowing snow while emergency crews rushed to the scene.
Swift Emergency Response
Firefighters immediately doused the aircraft with water while assisting passengers in evacuating. Officials confirmed that all injured individuals, including a child, were transported to nearby hospitals via ambulance and helicopter.
“The incident did not involve any other aircraft. Our emergency teams responded heroically, reaching the crash site within minutes and swiftly evacuating passengers. Some have already reunited with their loved ones,” said Deborah Flint, CEO of the Toronto Airport Authority.
Delta Air Lines Responds
In an official statement, Delta Air Lines acknowledged the accident, stating that their top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.

Toronto Airport Operations Disrupted
Following the crash, Toronto Pearson suspended all flight operations for two hours. While flights have since resumed, authorities have warned of long delays due to the backlog of scheduled departures and arrivals.
The crash comes just a day after a powerful snowstorm slammed into eastern Canada, causing mass flight cancellations over the weekend. On Monday, Toronto Pearson anticipated a surge in travelers, estimating over 130,000 passengers across nearly 1,000 flights.
