Over 1,800 litres of IMFL recovered from trucks near Meghalaya border during intensified pre-poll crackdown

Police in Assam seized a large quantity of illegal liquor in Cachar district ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, as part of intensified enforcement measures. The operation, carried out near Silchar on April 7, led to the arrest of four individuals involved in the transport.

Four individuals were arrested in connection with the case. They have been identified as Aslam Uddin Barbhuiya, Faruk Islam, Junaid Ahmed, and Dildar Hussain.
